Right after you download Gigbox and open it you are first asked if you have a last.fm account for it to sync with. This is a great feature right off the bat because it automatically finds all your favorite artists making adding artists for it to monitor concerts for super easy!

The first thing in the app is the "watchlist" this is the list of artist or bands you want the program to watch for and notify you about concerts. Once you go into the "watchlist" you can add bands and artists a number of ways. If tied your last.fm account to Gigbox when you first opened it you can click on to add artists from your top last.fm artist which brings up a checklist for you to pick and choose form your top last.fm artist to look for concerts. If you do not have a last.fm account I would highly recommend one but if you do not want one you can also easily add artists and bands to watch from the music you have on your phone. By picking to find artist from "sd card" Gigbox will find all the bands and artists on you sd card and allow you to pick which ones for it to monitor. Lastly if you even don't have music on your phone for your favorite artist you can add them manually.

Once you have all the artists and bands you want to be notified of concerts near you you can do the initial sync. In the settings of Gigbox you can check a box allowing automatic syncing which will check for new concerts every 3 days. Also you can change the distance of what is considered near.

Now when you open Gigbox next to "watchlist" you can quickly see how many "gigs" what it calls concerts it found for your artist/ how many "gigs" are near you based on your pre-defined distance. If you click on your "watch" list you will get a new list showing all your artist with how many new "gigs"/nearby "gigs" they have. This list can easily be sorted in a number of ways to help you quickly sort through all your artists. The "watchlist" can be sorted by, "total gigs", "new gigs", "nearby gigs", and lastly "artist name".

From the "watchlist" you can select an artist to see all there "gigs" and select gigs. If you select a "gig you can mark it if you are attending it or bookmark it to save it for later which can them be easily accessed from the home screen.
