Mr. Perfect. He can be real or imaginary. The imaginary Mr. Perfect is the most common. He's the idealized version of what you want in a man. He 's what many women are still looking for and sadly, he doesn't exist. No one's perfect. The other Mr. Perfect is also in your mind. He's the man that you decide is perfect for you so you overlook his faults and imbue him with qualities he may not have so that you can make him perfect for you. You need to remove Mr. Perfect from your mind and from your list of potential dates.
Mr. Wrong is something completely different from Mr. Perfect. He's real. He has qualiries or characteristics that we don't want. The one's that are deal breakers. But before you eliminate Mr. Wrong you need to make sure he's not really Mr. Right. Does the extra 10 pounds really a deal-breaker? If his being two inches shorter than you really a problem? Does it really matter that he's divorced with a child? The real Mr. Wrong is the one that has the qualities and characteristics that are your real deal-breakers, the things you definitely don't want in a relationship. If you're willing to make an exception for the right man, then it's not really a deal-breaker. Keep the list short, but stick to it. No matter how perfect a man may seem if he has a deal-breaker remove him from your dating list.
Now that Mr. Perfect and Mr. Wrong are gone you can start looking for Mr. Right. But Mr. Right comes in many forms.
Mr. Right Now... Just like his name implies, he's there now. He likes spending time with you but you don't see him as being someone to spend the rest of your life with. Even though you enjoy his company and he's happy with you, you're still looking for something better. He may be Mr. Right if you gave him a chance. If you stop thinking of him as temporary, he may become someone permanent.
Mr. Right For... Everyone seems to think you'd be the perfect couple. This pressure from others can make you doubt any feeling that you may have towards him.. Sometimes it can cause you to make the best or worst of a situation. Don't let that happen. Get to know him away from your friends and family. Don't worry about pleasing them, worry about making yourself happy.
Mr. Right But... He's a great guy, but there are a few things that you're not sure about. He's the man that may seem like Mr. Wrong at first. He doesn't have any of your deal-breakers but he's not Mr. Perfect. That's why it's important to eliminate Mr. Perfect from your thoughts and start looking at what's really important to you.
Mr. Right Here... He's someone you see often. You're neighbor, your best friend, a co-worker. He's nice, he's single, but for some reason you never notice him. Start noticing the men around you the one's you see every day. Just because their not trying out the latest pick-up lines, which wouldn't impress you anyway, or being forward, doesn't mean they're not interested.
So, how do you find Mr. Right. Open your eyes and look around. Know what's important to you. Be realistic and stop seeking perfection. Look at the men already in your life, there's a good chance Mr. Right is already there waiting for you to find him.
