How to Find Old & New Ventura County Arrest Records Online for Free

Sometimes, finding arrest information for an individual can be a difficult task to perform online. Many counties around the country do not have free searchable databases. Your only other online alternative is to pay a service to locate arrest information for you. Essentially, you would have to pay to have some kind of background check performed. Other counties have searchable databases, but they will charge you for each search that you conduct. For instance, Los Angeles County will allow you to search their online database for arrest records, however it will cost you ten dollars per search. Fortunately, Ventura County still offers a free, online, searchable database for obtaining arrest record information. If you need to search for the arrest records of someone who was arrested in Ventura County, follow these directions to search for their arrest history and related information online.

To search for older Ventura County arrest records - The online searchable database for Ventura County arrest records can hold arrest information online for arrests having occurred at least as far back as 1999. Searching for old Ventura County arrest records is fairly simple. Go to the Ventura County court services website (https://public.courts.ventura.org). You will get a screen with four options. Click on the "Case Information" option. Once the next screen opens up, type in the individual's first and last name, along with their birth date (you must know their birth date to use this feature).

Once you have entered this information, a Case Listing for the individual will appear, if they do indeed have an arrest record in Ventura County dating from as far back as 1999. This Case Listing will give you a list of all Ventura County arrests that have occurred involving the individual you are searching for. If there are multiple arrest records, click on a corresponding Case # (located in the same row, all the way to the right of the listing - this will be a number that is also a link). Once you click on the Case #, the Case Information will appear. The Case Information page will include information including: what the offense was; when the arrest occurred; what level offense it was (misdemeanor, felony); the court and sentencing dates; the amount of time that was served, if any; and any fines that were imposed by the court.

To search for information regarding someone recently arrested - You can obtain inmate information for individuals recently arrested in Ventura County simply by going the website of the Ventura County Sheriff's Department. Once at the website, click on the Inmate Information tab, and then type the individual's name into the provided fields.
