How to Find Out If You Have Angel Guides

It's never a bad idea to know who's on your side, right? Whether or not you believe in angels, you may nevertheless get the sense that certain days have a benevolent force behind them. Here's a way to get an idea who's been watching out for you. Grab a partner for this one!

Sit down together in a dimmed room. When I did this, my partner and I traded metal jewelry. Metal is a strong conductor of energies such as (but not limited to) electricity. This is an effective way of allowing you to connect with each other, because jewelry that you wear often is going to be charged with your energies. If you don't normally wear jewelry, you can always just hold hands. Set a timer for 10 to 15 minutes, then face one another and close your eyes. Picture the other person in your mind, just as they looked a moment before. To look for their angels and guides, simply relax and see what you see! Don't doubt yourself, and don't restrict yourself to certain ideas of what you think you should be seeing.

Archangels often appear as a sweep of color coming from one side or another, like a wing reaching out to touch your partner. Gabriel appears as soft white light, and his presence stands for a harmonizing, purifying presence in the person's life. Michael is an intense blue, and he stands for a warrior's protection and power. Raphael often appears as a green glow around a person when they need healing. Uriel is gold, which stands for peace and enlightenment.

Cherubs often appear in a more concrete form; usually you will see something that actually looks like a baby, or a baby's face floating about as opposed to sweeps of light. They often pop in and out of your sight, with round, bright faces. If instead it stays close to the person you are viewing for, this may be the spirit of one of their future children.

Ancestors are another image you might see. These will look like faces or people walking about. If they appear close behind the person you are viewing for, then they're close family; parents, or possibly siblings. The further behind your partner these people appear, the further the relation, or the further in the past they were alive. Keep note of their appearances, you will share them with your partner later.

Also be open to other images, such as shapes, objects and scenery. The field of energetic communication that you are opening up with your partner can also transmit other information about the person's life and consciousness. You may not see any angels or ancestors specifically, but you may be able to glimpse other forces at work in the person's life. Remember them to share with your partner later.

When the timer goes off, open your eyes and take a moment to bring your mind back to the material world. Take turns with your partner describing the things that you saw. When I did this exercise, it was actually part of a class of about 10 people, so we got together and shared with everybody. In addition to angels and ancestors, we saw scenes from their partners' dreams, scenes from their past experiences, and future children that had been predicted by psychics, none of which we had talked to each other about beforehand. Even if you do chalk it up to chance, the synchronicity is amazing. So be playful! Suspend your doubt, grab a fellow guinea pig, and try it out on each other. Happy viewing!
