Have you ever wondered if the person you were dating really is "THE one?" Well, thanks to the ancient art of Chinese Astrology, one can interpret the Chinese Zodiac's given dates and signs to come up with a love match or mismatch to see just how compatible you and your partner (or potential one) really are. This article is the last in a series used to study Chinese Astrology. The first, How to Get In Touch With Your Chinese Zodiac Animal's Personality, (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/588485/how_to_get_in_touch_with_your_chinese.html) provides an introduction all about your personality. The next, How to Understand How Your Chinese Zodiac's Fixed Element Directly Influences Your Personality, (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/589851/how_to_understand_how_your_chinese.html) , allows an even more in-depth detail of your personality traits and behaviors. Now that you understand all about you, it's time to see who you would be most compatiable with in a relationship using this same criteria.

First, you will need to find out what Chinese Zodiac sign you were born under. Note: if you were born during the month of January, look under the previous calendar year for your animal, as most Chinese New Years occur during the month of February. In order to help make it easy, just look at the following guide below and match your birth year:

Rat - 1900, 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008

Ox- 1901, 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997

Tiger- 1902, 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998

Rabbit- 1903, 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999

Dragon - 1904, 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000

Snake- 1905, 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001

Horse- 1906, 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1990, 2002

Sheep- 1907, 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003

Monkey- 1908, 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004

Rooster- 1909, 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005

Dog- 1910, 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006

Pig- 1911, 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007

Ok, so now that you know each other's signs, here is the best optimum match for each sign. You can have three choices: either yourself (same animal sign) or two others that are compatible. Below are the best choices when it comes to a relationship according to the Chinese Zodiac.

Rat ~ Dragon ~ Monkey

Ox ~ Snake ~ Rooster

Tiger ~ Horse ~ Dog

Sheep ~ Pig ~ Rabbit

Now to interpret this guide, I am going to use the example of myself. I am a dragon; therefore, I am compatible with another dragon, a rat, or a monkey. While I ultimately did not end up with either of these, it is fun to look back on my relationships and see just how well, or not so well, the different relationships I formed had any compatible validity influenced by this theory. Enjoy this tool as a means to rediscover your past, look at your present, or gaze into your future relationships.

Just because the charts don't say you and your partner aren't a perfect match does not mean that you are. Trust me... I married someone who, according to the charts, is one of the least likely people for me to be with.
