The first thing you will need to do is talk to George. Be sure to use every conversation option. She will explain that the cart is setting outside, but it needs water or something because it doesn't run. Walk out the door and then to the left. There is a note attached to the cart that explains that the water level is low and not to use it until the batteries are at 100%, distilled water only.
Now, go back one screen and go to the shed and try to open it, it's locked. Walk back in the shop and talk to George again. She will explain that there was a key at the desk but she is not sure if it goes to the locked shed. Walk to the shed and use the key on the lock, "yes" it opens. Open the doors and on the shelf to the right is the battery refill kit. If you look below the shelf there are some instructions. The instructions will let you know how to operate the kit, how much water is in the reservoir which is 100 ml and how much it dispenses each time you press the pump which is 60 ml. All six batteries must be filled to precisely 100 ml. You will want to grab the shovel from the door on the right, I'm sure it will come in handy later in the game.
Next, walk back to the cart and raise the seat. Open your bag of items and place the kit on the batteries. The top two batteries are full so leave them closed. The two on the right have 15%, the one on the mid left has 45%, and the one on the bottom left has 25%. Remember all batteries must be 100% exactly. Open the one on the bottom left first and press the pump. It will fill to 85%. Close this one back. Open the two on the right and press the pump again. They will fill to 45%. You should have three batteries at 45%. Open all three and press the pump twice, they are now at 85%. The four batteries are all at 85%. Open all four batteries and press the pump, this will bring them all to 100%. Now they can be used.
Now one can explore the island on the fully charged golf cart. This guide is for the beginner level and will not work for the expert puzzle. Before going out on the cart make sure to check out the map of the island on the wall beside George. This will keep you from getting lost along the way.
