Tools needed:

1. Sandpaper
Please use a meduim to fine grade it will get the job done and make it look clean and flat once done!

2. Drywall Tape
Any standard drywall tape will do, I even heard of people using duct tape but I haven't personally tried it myself. Then again they use it for everything else!

3. Drywall Mud
I recomend using a 30 minute mix you can buy this stuff in a small jar or even prepare it yourself if your doing a large job it sort of make's it's self like pancake batter from dry mix.

4. Small Piece of Drywall
Drywall is fairly cheap and they are only sold in sets of two I believe look around maybe you can find a small do it your self kit some where at a hardware shop.

5. Utility Knife
Any basic cheap one should do the job as long as it's not dull and rusty! And remember to use caution these things are usually sharp!

6. Drywall Screws
Any hardware store has these and you can buy a whole box for about a few dollars and they always come in handy! Remember use a screw driver and take your time with screwing these in they can damage a good piece of dry wall easy.

7. Putty Knife
These really help spread the drywall mud on evenly I highly recommend getting a nice metal one compared to the plastic they just do such a better job on laying the drywall mud on over the tape and it also helps to cut the tape once you get to the end of where you want the tape to end just hold it in place and pull the tape!

Steps to fixing the hole in the wall:

1. Prepare the hole by removing any left over hanging drywall or paper or dust. Take a utility knife and turn the hole into a square shape. Make sure your area around the opening is sanded with a medium sandpaper.

2. Remove a square the same size of square that you made in your wall from a piece of drywall. And make sure it fits snug in the square hole, You can then use a drywall screw to hold the square in place. If the hole is small enough you can just skip this step and just use a piece of drywall tape with mud over it.

3. Now use your drywall tape and add it around the areas of the repaired section this can be easily done by laying the drywall tape on the area and slowly wetting it with drywall mud.

4. You can now slowly and evenly add drywall mud to the tape I would at least go about 5 inches or so away from the original hole so you know that you got it covered.

5. Next let your drywall mud harden this can take a while depending on how fast the mixture says it will take. Once this is done use your sandpaper again and make sure everything is smooth and even.

6. Once this is done it's time to paint! Your done congrats! Wasn't that hard...

Hopefully this has helped you take care and god bless!
