How Do I Fix a Wet Cellphone for Free?
Got Your Cellphone Wet by Accident. Don't Worry! Its Easy to Fix and Most Importantly, FREE!
Cell phones are used in everyday life. People use them for communication, work, and many other things. Cell phones are very easy to break. And when they are broken, it feels like life seems so useless. There are many kinds of ways for it to break such as dropping it hard on the ground or maybe getting a virus on it. But in this article, I will concentrate on fixing a wet cell phone.
You are probably reading this article because your cell phone accidentally got wet. Maybe you dropped it in the toilet. I don't really care and I don't really blame you. These accidents usually happen and you shouldn't even worry because it's very easy to fix. The first thing you would probably do is to go to a cell phone repair shop and pay some or maybe even a lot of cash. You don't really need to do this. You can actually fix it on your own for free by doing the following:
1. Do not check if your cell phone is fixed by turning it on. Most probably it's not and if you turn it on while it's wet, it may break even more.
2. First thing you should do is to remove the battery of the cell phone. The battery provides the electricity for the cell phone to run. On most occasions, the battery will break if it gets submerged in water. If you're lucky, it won't be.
2. If you think that using a hair dryer to fix your cell phone will work, well then you're wrong. You could actually fry your phone, and that may actually result to bringing it to a real cell phone repair shop.
3. The second thing you should do is to wipe the cell phone and the battery with a towel.
4. The third thing you should do is get a bowl of raw rice and simply bury your cell phone in it. You should also try to bury the battery in the bowl of rice. It will increase the chances of it to be fixed. The rice will absorb all the remaining water. I would recommend doing this for 24 hours.
5. After 24 hours, try the cell phone with the battery. If it does not turn on, then most probably your battery is broken. You would need to buy a new battery but don't worry because they don't really cost much.
6. After you have done all of these steps, you can now text your friends! Enjoy!
