The very first thing a person must realize if they truly want to flatten their stomach is that there will be sacrifice. To get a lean flat stomach takes work, patience, and lots of discipline it won't happen over night, but if your ready, willing, and able I will show you how to flatten your stomach in no time.

There are a lot of so-called quick fixes out there offering magic pills out that will flatten your stomach in little or no time, but think about it like this you didn't get to the point where you felt the need to want to flatten your stomach over night so logically this is not something that can fixed over night. You will be surprised at how fast your stomach will begin to flatten, but it won't be over night.

The first thing that must change to achieve your goal to getting a lean flat stomach is your diet. Cut down on bad carbs, foods such as white bread, pastas, potatoes, and white rice should be limited. Eat brown rice and whole wheat bread instead, and add fiber to your diet by increasing your intake of fruits and vegetables. You also drink skim milk instead of whole milk, but you should try to keep your dairy intake to a minimum.

Eating smaller meals, more often through out the day instead of 2-3 big meals a day will keep you from having that bloated look and feeling. Eating more meals actually kicks up your metabolism. Remember to drink lots of water too. Water not only helps with digestion, but it also makes you feel full so you eat less.

Changing your diet is just the half of it. None if this is going to work or matter if you don't start some sort of exercise program. It doesn't have to be much, but something like jogging or even walking if you are unable to run for at least 30 minutes a day three times a week will help boost your metabolism which will help begin to burn fat and flatten your stomach.

Pilates 3 or 4 times a week is also a very good way to flatten your stomach and also improve your flexibility. Pilates will strengthen your core, and build the muscles in your stomach area. Then there are good old fashion crunches 3 or 4 times a week, start slow and safe then work your way up.

Now one of the most important things you must do, and this is a must, Stop eating within 3 hours of bedtime. If you have to munch on something, eat a small portion of fruit. Not eating late can make a huge difference. Lots of natural foods like fresh fruits and vegetables instead of refined sugars will help to flatten your stomach.

Now you have a basic over view on how to flatten your stomach, but just remember it won't happen over night and what you put into your workout is what you will get out of it. Slow and steady is the way and I promise you before long you will get the results you have been working for.
