How to Flirt at Work

To flirt at work helps everyone. Even if you aren't necessarily looking for a long term relationship with everybody in the office, it's good to flirt at work with everyone. It helps lighten the mood, makes them feel special, and you feel energized. Sexual energy is a natural part of human energy, and there's no reason to have to put it away at work as long as it's done tastefully. Here's how to flirt at work.

To flirt at work, compliment everyone on something good. I know John from accounting doesn't brush his teeth, and Lenny's toupee just looks ridiculous, but if you lead in with a compliment, you can even inform them of their misgivings later as well, because they know that you're coming from a friendly place. Smile when you do this, too, and look them in the eye.

If you get people feeling good about you, they won't mind a bit light touching. Tastefully done, of course. After you get people used to you flirting at work verbally, you can make them feel even better with a little kiss on the hand or a thump on the shoulder. Avoid the erotic areas like ears, lips, etc. so people don't get the wrong idea.

After people get used to you lightly complimenting and touching, you can get more business done as you flirt at work. You can very easily accompany a new workplace related event after you make someone feel personally good. The mood is light, and people are easier to give bad news to. So after you compliment, flick their shoulder and say something like, "We've got this little problem to handle in marketing. (Be specific so they don't get the wrong idea.) I wonder if you wouldn't help me get to the bottom of this."

Tips & Warnings

  • Flirting at work does especially well with people completely out of your league, like your boss, or the super hottie. You know you can't date, so the flirting won't be misinterpreted.
  • As you flirt at work and make the rounds, remember there's always one sicko out there. Just stay away from them.
