How to Fold a Fitted Sheet

I don't know about you but I despise folding sheets. I don't particularly like folding laundry in general, but folding sheets just takes the cake! The fitted sheet is the absolute worst! I will admit I have been guilty of just rolling the fitted sheet up and tossing it in the linen closet. I know, I know, how could I do such a thing? Well, after messing with the sheet for so long I just say forget it and move on! Now, I have learned how to properly fold a fitted sheet thus saving me a headache and frustration in the process! Follow these quick and easy steps and you will be well on your way to folding your fitted sheets in no time flat! By the way, because I am left handed these instructions are for left handers, but they can quickly and easily be reversed for right handers as well.

Of course it is a good idea to always start off with a clean pair of sheets, just saying. First of all, stand up and hold both corners of one of the shorter edges of the sheet. You want to do this with the sheet inside out. Then bring your left hand to your right hand. Fold the corner that is in your left hand over the one that is in your right. Then,reach down and grab the corner that is hanging down in the front. Bring it up towards you and fold it over the two corners that you are holding in your right hand. Note: the corners that will be showing are going to be inside out.

Now bring the last corner up folding it over the other corners. With it's left side showing it should cover up the other three corners.

Now, here is the fun part! Lay the folded sheet on any type of flat surface and straighten it out as best as you can. Fold the edges in so all of the elastic is hidden and can't be seen. Fold the sheet again into a rectangle shape. Continuing folding until the way you get the shape you want.

This folding technique will work on any size sheet you have, and baby bed sheets. It may take a few times to get the hang of it but before long it will become old hat and you will be folding those fitted sheets like a pro!
