Safety Label

A safety label is simply a label that points out the various areas and/or tasks that can be potentially dangerous or hazardous to both equipment as well as the personnel. Safety labels are shown in various ways on the equipment as well as in the equipment's safety manual. Safety labels use certain words in context to show just how dangerous or problematic that particular area may be. The three commonly used words when it comes to using safety labels include warning, danger and finally caution.

Danger Label

A danger label is simply a label that points out the highly hazardous or dangerous scenario, if its not avoided it could lead to possible consequences such as death or a potentially fatal injury. The danger signal is the most dangerous of all signs and should be followed with extreme care as it should in no way be taken lightly. A danger symbol is simply a sign with an exclamation mark constructed inside of a triangle, the word danger is written boldly in a red box.

Warning Label

A warning label is simply a label that points out all of the hazardous scenarios if they not avoided, can and will result in either serious injury or possible death. Its exactly identical to a danger label except for the signs color and appearance. The warning symbol involves an exclamation mark inside of a triangle, the word warning is boldly written in an orange box.

Caution Label

A caution label is a label that points out some potentially hazardous scenarios, if they aren't avoided can lead to potential injury whether it be a minor or moderate one. The caution signal practically indicates a probable cause to equipment as well as personnel. A caution signal is also used to describe the possible unsafe working practices. The symbol for a caution sign is an exclamation mark inside of a triangle, the word caution is boldly written in a yellow box.
