How to Forgive and Forget

Robb Weigel
One of the best ways to make you a lighter--happier--person is by forgiving and forgetting.

Step 1) Have the AWARENESS that the unresolved anger and bitterness you have for another--or yourself--is holding you back from living in the present moment and everything the present moment encompasses. There's nothing worse than living in the past or the future. The only reality that exists is right now.

Step 2) Have the COURAGE to forgive that person or yourself. Has your drinking problem, alcohol problem, sloth, etc. been holding you back--forgive yourself for these issues and learn from them by changing them now and into the future. It won't do you any good by making yourself feel any more miserable about it so just let it go.

Step 3) Start LIVING YOUR LIFE. If in the future you see that person who harmed you--or if you have the tendency to call back into old, bad habits--just remind yourself to not go back there. Don't give yourself a guilt trip about the issues. Be kind to yourself and the world will starting being more kind to you.

This has been an article on how to forgive and forget. There is no use living in the past--learn from the past and make the necessary adjustments, but don't beat yourself up over it. Life is too short, and no one gets out alive so what do you have to lose! :)
