If you have managed to land yourself a free stay in a timeshare as a non-owner, whether by trading in via another timeshare you or somebody else owns, or by being given a week by somebody who owns at that timeshare, you have the wonderful opportunity to get free gifts during your timeshare stay.

The idea is to sit through a presentation to become a timeshare owner, for which most resorts will offer you a very attractive gift. Step One: Plan to Not Buy Anything You Don't Want

If you want your gift to actually be free, you have to not be lured into buying anything while you are getting your free gift. So, before digging into this, consider whether you are strong enough to say no to attractive offers. If possible, try to set up your appointment for early in your stay at the timeshare. This is to ensure that you will have plenty of time to make use of your free gift.
