How to Get Free Traffic for Your Site

If you have ever created your own website, you must know that getting traffic is pretty hard. You also know that even with a great idea, advertising is still a pain and seems impossible. You might have advertised on forums, and with no hope did not get any significant traffic. You may have also paid for ptc traffic which ended up being a waste of money with very low conversions. What I am about to tell you is a way to get traffic sort of like ptc traffic, but it is for free.

There are many traffic exchange networks on the web, although you may have not heard of them. Most of them are free, and you should not have to pay to join them. The way they work is that you view someones website for a set amount of time and get credits for it, and then those credits can be used to get traffic for your website. Most traffic exchanges are exchanged 1:1, meaning each site you view is one viewer for your site. If it is less, you are probably getting a bad deal.

Another thing to remember about them is that the longer you stay on one site, the longer other people stay on yours. You may be tempted to join sites that say you only have to view someones site for 7 seconds or less, but truly you are getting a lot worse deal than viewing someones site for 30 seconds. If someone views yours for 30 seconds there is a lot higher chance that they will do anything or click an ad then if they are just there for 7 seconds. This can really save you from getting terrible traffic.

Like i said before, the longer people stay is better. If your network allows you to have people stay longer for a higher price, go for it. It is worth it to double the time each person spends on your site, for double the price, because they will most likely do something on your site. I know that because that is one reaction I have to longer ad views.

One last important tip I have is that you should always have your pop up blocker and virus protection turned on. Although many of these sites check if sites are virus free or not, there may be a view sites that slip through. Google chrome or fire fox will most likely catch these sites and block your access from them, yet it is always better to be safe than sorry. I'm pretty paranoid, so i normally use these sites at school or at the library, but that is taking drastic measures.

There are quite a few of these sites, but there are some clear leaders out of these. I found easyhits4u.com to be a very good traffic exchange network. The viewing time was good and you could easily get started. The directions were easy to follow, and they even paid out once per 1000 views. They are the only one I used truly since i really didn't like the other ones were set up. I hope that this article has helped you.
