1. Attend bridal shows. Bridal shows are one of the best places for acquiring free wedding magazines and other wedding freebies. Bridal shows are held quite often but more frequently just before and during wedding season. I went to the Dallas Bridal Show in January and came home with five thick bridal magazines. Bridals shows usally offer coupons or free tickets for brides and grooms. Checking the Facebook and Twitter pages of bridals show companies is a good way of finding these deals.
2. Check the bins at your local recycling centers. I live in an apartment and transport all of my recycling to the bin at the library down the street. I find something good everytime I go.! One time I found a whole stack of brand new, clean magazines and three of them were wedding magazines!
3. Ask around. Do you know anyone who recently got married? Most likely they will have some bridal magazines that they will be willing to pass on to you. It never hurts to ask. I am thinking of asking my local library what they do with outdated magazines. Bridal magazines need not be current to be worth reading. These publications are loaded with innovative ideas, inspiration, and do-it-yourself projects for every aspect of your wedding.
4. Earn a free subscription. You can earn a free subscription to a great bridal magazine through Coca-Cola's loyalty program, My Coke Rewards. Look for codes under Coke caps and on other Coca-Cola products. Enter the codes on the My Coke Rewards website to earn free prizes. At the time of this writing, one of the prizes is a one-year subscription to Martha Stewart Weddings magazine for only 265 points.
5. Utilize Craigslist. Searching the "free section" on craigslist for free wedding magazines is another idea. You might be surprised at the amount of quality stuff that is listed for free on craigslist.
6. Get a free issue of Get Married magazine. At the time of this writing, Get Married magazine is offering a free issue to those who sign up on thier website. Here is the link: http://www.getmarried.com/register/. If you like the magazine, it is currently available on the Get Married website for only $4.99 for a four issue subscription.
I hope I have provided you with effective ideas for obtaining free wedding magazines to help you plan for dream wedding! If you have any other methods for securing free bridal magazines, please leave a comment below! Thank you!
