Going to the gym regularly is great for your health, but it can be quite a hassle to freshen up afterwards if you are in a hurry. When I used to go the gym regularly, I did not always have time to shower afterwards. But that does not mean I did not freshen up. It is possible to freshen up your look in less than 10 minutes. Here are some of my tips for freshening up after the gym.
Clean your face with cleanser
Since working out causes you to sweat, it is important to clean your face to prevent breakouts. Wash your face with a gentle, gel cleanser to remove any traces of dirt and oil. If your skin is on the dry side, you can use a cream cleanser instead.
Keep your hair up
Keep your hair up after you finish your workout. If you put it down, it will likely look limp and greasy. Try spraying some dry shampoo on your hair to soak up some of the sweat.
Put on some tinted moisturizer
Apply some tinted moisturizer on your face to even out your skin tone and minimize redness. A tinted moisturizer is not only less heavier than a foundation, it takes less time to apply it because you do not have to put moisturizer on beforehand.
Apply cream eye shadow on your eyelids
Powder eye shadow often takes awhile to put on to get the application just right. Since you probably do not have time for that, trying putting a cream eye shadow on instead. Just apply a wash of color to your eyelids with your fingers. Finish your eye makeup with a couple of coats of black mascara.
Absorb oil by applying loose powder
Apply a loose powder all over your face with a fluffy brush to absorb some of the oil. Make sure to apply a little extra powder to the areas of your face that get extra oily like your nose and chin.
Add tinted lip balm to your lips
Your lips do not require a creamy lipstick and shiny lip gloss to look beautiful. A tinted lip balm will work just fine. Slab on a tinted lip gloss on your lips for a clean, natural look.
Now you can see that it does not have to take long to freshen up after the gym. Just a few minutes of primping will make you look fresh and beautiful.
