Serves 8
1 pound Ground beef
Soy sauce
Green onions (scallions)
Shredded carrots
Wonton wrappers
Egg white

Directions for How to Make Fried Wontons

1
Preheat deep fat fryer
Begin preheating the oil to fry your beef wontons in.
2
Make beef wonton filling
In a small bowl, mix ground beef, shredded carrot, diced green onions (scallions), and soy sauce.
3
Fill the wonton wrappers
While the oil is heating, place a teaspoon of the raw meat mixture in the middle of each wonton wrapper. Fold the wonton wrapper over, making the shape of a triangle, and seal with egg white.
4
Fry beef wontons
Drop a few wontons at a time into the deep fryer. They will cook quickly. When they begin to float to the top of the oil, and look light brown, remove them and set them on a cookie sheet lined with paper towels. WARNING! - Drop wontons into the hot oil slowly. Dropping them too quickly can cause oil to splatter and burn.
Tip
Fried wontons taste great dipped in additional soy sauce, hot mustard, or sweet and sour sauce.

Interesting, but I must substitute the beef with cheese. :)

Never had a won ton w/ground beef, always with pork. I like my won tons cooked in soup. I stay away from friend food of any kind. Now I want Chinese food.....
