Living is tough now days, but throw in the cost of living in America now days and it's just a crazy chaotic mess. Most families now days with 2 adults working in the house hold can barely get by! So you need to find another approach! You need to find a way to save money so you can have the little extras you so want and deserve. So, lend me your ears or shall I say eyes for a moment and I will shed some light on how you can say extra cash and save it for that vaction or something extra special you really want.

Tips to save Money

- Do you really need that item? Before you go and buy that item, think about it. Are you really going to use it or is it something you really need? If not then don't even buy it. Just leave it where it lays. You don't need another piece of nothing that you wouldn't use.

- Don't Use it then Return it! I don't know if you know this or not, but most major retail stores IE: Target, Walmart and Kmart have a 90 day return policy on most of there items. So if you don't use it with in the time allowed, then TAKE THAT BABY BACK! Just make sure you save all your reciepts and your packaging and tags. You'll need that for the return.

- Don't buy it make, make it and cook it! This one will surely save you some cash. I know how we all need the tv dinners every none and again. They are fast and you don't have to stand at the oven cooking all day. But if you cook it your self you'll save a lot of cash and you'll have left overs to reheat, you're own tv dinners. Yummy!

- Don't buy fast food! Fast food is another trap a lot of people fall into. And it always takes a lot of cash! So try to avoid it if your trying to save some money. You'll also probably loose so weight too if your not eatting out all the time.

- Buy most of your food when it's on sale! Try to go to the store when they are having a good food sale or a buy one get one free sale. Don't worry about having way too much bread! Bread is something that can be frozen.

- Use reuseable stuff, instead of buying throw away! Instead of buying paper towels, just get a few dish towels that you use for spills and such. You can always rewash them and get tons of usage out of them! Also go and buy the Glad containers and instead of throwing them away, just wash them and reuse them. They are cheap and great to store all sorts of left over food in.

- Make a shopping list before going to the store! Make a shopping list before going to the store. And make sure to exercise disaplan when sticking to the list strickly! Make sure to buy only what is one the list, and nothing more. Whilst making the list you might want to look up recipes you love to eat and put the ingrediants on the list, that way you'll have cheap fast meals to make through the week as well.

- Buy store brand items! Buying the store brand is a great way to save money. You'll get a product usually just as good as the name brand, but cheaper since there isn't a lot of the labeling. Did you know usually when you buy a name brand you're mostly paying for there packaging and there advertising fees? We'll you do now.

- Go to the store less! This one kinda works with the making a shopping list out. Because if you had a good list, you'll have to go to the store less! And going to the store less means your spending less. And make sure not to go to the store when you have nothing to buy! Because you'll end up buying all sorts of stuff you don't need or really want.

- Buy stuff used! Buying used stuff is always a great way to save the extra dollar. You can find used stuff at Garage Sales, the Good Will and not to mention Ebay! All three place work wonders! You never know what you'll find. You'll get great deals on clothes, books, cds, dvds and more!

These are some good suggestions - especially limiting trips to the store (which often results in "unexpected" purchases). Great advice.
