Your birthday is coming but you feel depressed because you want to have a party but your funds are low. Here are some suggestions to give you some birthday cheer without breaking the bank.

First, plan in advance. Check the store circulars for ingredients that are sale. Stock up on the flour and sugar and butter that you need for that cake. Make the cake simple. A frosting of sour cream and chocolate chips is a simple frosting that is easy, cheap and tastes great. Also, bake or buy cupcakes that are cheaper then buying a cake. If you buy a slice of your favorite cake then it is cheaper than buying a whole cake. Better yet share a slice with a friend. Your friend may even treat you.

Buy a bottle of your favorite alcohol and make your favorite drinks yourself. A bottle of liquor gives you more then one glass of your favorite cocktail. Plus, sometimes if you buy in the liquor store you can get a rebate offer.Second, find which stores offer birthday discounts. I know Baskin Robbins, and Starbucks both offer a free stuff on your birthday. Search online under birthday discounts in your state.

Eat out for lunch at your favorite restaurant. The food is the same but just smaller portions. Then plan ahead and get on the VIP list for your favorite dance club.

Go to the park. Plan ahead and go early and have a barbeque. If you have a friend who is a member of Costco then you can get party platters for a reasonable price.

Buy yourself some happy birthday lotto tickets. You never know if you will get lucky. Remember to play your birthday too on the Pick three.

Buy yourself a gift some CD and books on Amazon but look under the used section. You would be surprised on the amount of time I gotten used stuff that looks like it was hardly used or never opened.

Have a party for all the people who were born in your month or share your sign. Have it pot-luck style. Celebrate together all your good fortune.Have an awful birthday memory or gift party. Have fun remembering the birthday parties of your youth, the good, the bad and the ugly. Make a party that celebrates the music or news or clothing of your youth. If it is a music party then everybody has to contribute music that they listened to when they were growing up Look up the Billboard charts what were the popular songs around your birthday. If you have make a news party then look up or find some old magazines, books or newspapers that were published when you were young. The news can be anything from sports to entertainment stories. You can also have a clothing of your youth party. Everybody can dress up in clothes that they wore when they were young.

Remember just celebrate and have fun. Birthday only come once a year.
