How to Make a Ghost Necklace or Decoration

Shannon Frye
This craft does not take very long to do. It's not very expensive either. The only items that you will need is some white paper, a hole puncher, some black string and some scissors. If you run a day care or have any children, this is a great craft to do with them. You can have the children wear the necklace or you can hang them up from different items. The whole process will not take you more than 30 minutes to make each necklace or decoration. It's very easy to do and it's fun for children to do as well.

You will first want to cut a basic template of a ghost. You can create many different ghost templates for different people to choose from. You will want to have everybody trace the different templates so that they can cut them out. Once everybody has a ghost template you will want to pass the scissors around and have everybody cut out the ghosts. Then you will want to pass a black marker around so that everybody can draw a face on their ghosts. They can create the eyes, nose and the mouth as well.

Then you will want to cut a lot of different pieces of string. You will want to make the string big enough so that you can wear the ghost as a necklace. You will use a paper puncher to place a hole at the top of the ghost. Then you will tie a piece of string through the hole so that you can wear the ghost as a necklace. Make sure that you tie the knot tight so that it doesn't fall off. If you are using the ghost as a decoration, you will not need to string to be as long. The whole process will not take you longer than 30 minutes.

This is one of the easiest crafts to do. It's a lot of fun and it serves two purposes. If you are doing this with kids you can send them all home with the children. Make sure that they write their names on the back so that they know which ghosts are theirs. You can have people do multiple ghosts to hang up around the house as decoration. It's very inexpensive and it's a lot of fun to do. This will get everybody into the Halloween spirit. They can even wear them when they go trick-or-treating!
