Your smile may gradually become tense by the time we return from work. As the tension mounts up in the day, stress gets locked in the neck and face, muscle contracts, dries up and this starts the aging look on the face.
With gentle massaging of the face, the contracted muscles can be activated. This is a non-invasive procedure and very simple to follow and practice. Once activated, the muscles get oxygen and the dryness vanishes. Face becomes cheerful as it was earlier.
How to massage the face:
a. Roll patting: When cleansing and moisturizing the face, pat from the flat portion of the fingers under the jaw line. Also, pat on the snag potion of the face and roll the fingers forward and pat again.
b. If the skin on the face is dry, apply cream liberally. This will also help in rolling your fingers freely on the face.
c. Squeeze the back of the neck with one hand so that the tension is relieved
d. If the facial curves have wider area, you can use the entire palm. But, take care to see that the massaging is done use of cream liberally and in the direction of facial curves so that wrinkles are not formed.
e. To get relief from headache, particularly due to stress, rotate your fingers gently on the temple
f. Depending on the condition of the skin, the massaging period should be decided. For those who do not have too much of skin problem, 3 to 4 days of massaging with good cream should be sufficient.
Advantages of facial massaging:
1. The 'feel good' endorphins released during the massaging gives a new look to the face
2. Massaging improves the flexibility of the skin.
3. Releases the cramped muscles in the face and the jaw
4. Massaging reduces wrinkles. So, expression of the face will be more clear and charismatic
5. Gives relief from Insomnia, headache and eye strain
6. The muscles under the skin becomes active and as a result, the skin tightens up
7. More oxygen is supplied to the Cells and the active cells helps in lymphatic circulation, relieves the toxins and supply nutrients to the cells. This also removes the dead cells from the skin
8. Massaging improves blood circulation
9. Improved blood circulation gives both mental and physical relaxation.
10. Makes you look young and cheerful always.
