How to Give Him Some Space

Nothing is worse then being crowded. Suffocation is a terrible feeling. Believe it or not this what your man may be feeling if you are a bit insecure. Tracking his every step and marking his every move is like having your hands around his neck and squeezing.

I'm guilty of being the over bearing girlfriend and wife at times. Never wanting to leave my man's side or sight. I'm here to tell you this is not the way to go. Over crowding your man can definitely drive him away. Space is an important aspect of having a good and healthy relationship.

Just like anything else there is a right way and a wrong way to do this. I'm telling you to kick him or close the door on him but I am suggesting that give him a little breathing room. Allowing your man to leave without a fuss assures him that you trust him to do the right thing and return home to you.

Giving him some space allow him time to miss being at home with him. While he's out he'll have little reminders of you like a smell that resembles your favorite fragrance. He'll be thinking about it all night and he'll be a little anxious to get home to you. Remember if he for a few hours he'll want to see you that much more when its time to bring it home.

Here are a few ways to offer your man a little space without leaving yourself feeling lonely:

1. Plan a Football party with closet buddies and you spend the day at the mall.

2. Invite his over for a Poker party and you go to the movies with one of your friends.

3. Allow him to leave for a night out and treat yourself to a long relaxing bubble bath.

4. Buy two tickets to a Sporting event and allow him to take his choice friend and you have a day at the spa.

Space is an important factor in a healthy relationship. Keeping him close does always mean keeping him happy. The best way to find if he feeling a bit crowded is simply to ask. You can always offer him a night out if he accepts he may need some space if declines he's happy.

These tips are simply a way to improve your relationship if you are problems. They are not set in stone and do not replace professional advice.
