How to Make Glow in the Dark Liquid

Alicia Bodine
You will need the following items to make your glow in the dark liquid:

Mountain dew
Hydrogen peroxide
Baking soda

Follow these steps to make your glowing liquid:

Step 1:
Pour 75 percent of the Mountain Dew out in to a glass. You will have 25 percent still remaining in the Mountain Dew bottle.

Step 2:
Get a spoon and dip it in baking soda. You only need the tip of the spoon to be full of baking soda. In other words only fill your spoon 10%. Put the baking soda in the Mountain Dew bottle.

Step 3:
Pour three cap fulls of hydrogen peroxide in the Mountain Dew bottle.

Step 4:
Return the lid to the Mountain Dew and shake up the mixture. It will immediately begin to glow.

Step 5:
Use the liquid to create whatever you want. You can paint it on a picture or pour it in some clear tubing to make a glow stick.

Tips:
Double the recipe if you are making the liquid for two people to share.

The glow will last two to four hours. After that you will need to repeat the steps to create some fresh glow in the dark liquid.

Warnings:
Do not drink the liquid.

Whoever wrote this article obviously did not do their homework on this topic or try it out for themselves. This is a hoax and I can't believe Yahoo! would like someone post a hoax story.
