Steps:
1.Log into Gmail by going www.gmail.com and using your Gmail email address and your password.
Note: If you find another way to log in to Gmail, make sure to check that you're at the actual site by checking the URL in the address bar.
2. Click settings at the top right hand side of your Gmail page.
Note: If you don't see the settings button, look some more, and if you find that it's not there then you're not on the right page.
3. Look for the tab Forwarding and POP and click on it.
Tip: The tabs sometimes open another page in your browser, if you don't want to have a lot of pages open, close the previous one. This will help you to avoid confusion over what you did and didn't do.
4. Click on Forward a copy of incoming mail to.
5. Fill out the text box with the email to which you'd like your email to go to.
Tip: Check over what you type about 5 times to make sure that you have the correct email address.
6. Chose whether Gmail should keep a copy or archive the messages or not.
Tip: In case that something happens to your other inbox, its safe to have a backup of your email; sometimes though, it'll just be more mess and clutter. Think carefully about what you're going to chose here; remember that you can always come back and change this setting if you'd like.
7. Click Save Changes to activate forwarding and return to inbox.
Note: If by some reason you don't think that Gmail saved your changes, you should go through steps 1-7 once again just to make sure that you did this right.
And that's how you do it! Yes, now you can get your Gmail with your Yahoo mail or any other email you have. Try it out, and if you find that it's just not working out, then you can try getting your other emails at your Gmail inbox, but that's another process.
Tip: If you decided to keep backup copies at your Gmail inbox, check back to it at least once a month to organize your inbox. Doing this will help to avoid confusion and procrastination due to un-organization.
Tip: Don't count on SPAM being forwarded ever! If you're looking for an email that could've possibly came in as spam, you're going to have to use GMail to open it. It will not be viewable in your other email inbox.
Tip: Forwarding of mail isn't always fast, so if you're expecting something at your Gmail address and the person who sent it says it should be in there already, it will probably take a couple of minutes or maybe even an hour or so to get to your other email inbox. This might be something that you're not comfortable with, so think about what you're doing.
Note: An alternative to getting your email forwarded, you can always make it so that your browser opens up both email inboxes automatically when you start it. You can do this by making your email inboxes two homepage tabs.
