How to Go Naked for Earth Day 2011

Each year Earth Day is celebrated around the world on April 22, it's a day we give back to the earth. This year its Friday so the best gift you can give mother earth is to take the day off and help the planet. We must do our part to save the earth and the best way to do this is to go naked for Earth Day.

I am not speaking literally, but rather figuratively. It's time to shed the modern conveniences and really celebrate Earth Day by getting back to basics. Forget the car, machinery and show our planet some love on Earth Day 2011.

Skip the air polluting gas guzzling automobiles and walk. If you live to far away work to walk, grab a bike or arrange a carpool. Combine errands rather than doing them separately if you don't work.

Each day of every year automobile drivers, use tons of gas, which depletes our resources. Some folks believe they cannot go anywhere without the car so going naked by not driving your car is a good idea.

Not to mention the smog that fills our environment over major cities. That smog not only kills the plant life eventually it will kill the very people who created the smog along with everyone else.

Walking is great for your heart health and it does not pollute the air that we breathe. When you walk, it does not harm our environment in any way.

Better yet if possible, stay home and plant a tree or clear out a flower garden. Skip the gas guzzling machinery and break the soil with a shovel or spade. It's good for the environment and your body as well as long as you are in relatively good health.

Make a whole day of giving back to the Planet this Earth Day by forgoing as much power zapping activities as you can. Saving resources is the name of the game here on this day. Turn off the televisions, computers, x-boxes, stereos, cell phones and the rest of that crap we cannot do without, get outside, and enjoy the day as nature intended in relative silence. That is precisely what I meant by getting naked for earth day, shed your modern conveniences and go all natural.
