How to Make Gold in World of Warcraft - Newbie Gold Farming Guide

The fastest way to make gold in the online game World of Warcraft is not by crafting or farming items but by gathering.

Once I figured this out I am now able to make 80 - 100 wow gold an hour

Whether you do mining, skinning or herbalism is up to you, they all make a profit.
I personally do mining and you will be surprised how fast thorium , mithril ,truesilver and iron bars sell.
Even copper bars can bring in a decent profit for lower level characters.

I always used my ore to make blacksmithing supplies but by the time it takes to sell a blue item in the auction house you could have sold many many stacks of bars and made a lot more gold.

I have made 1000's of gold doing this and it turns a quick profit.
You can't just sit around and expect the gold to fall into your lap but if you put in a little effort you can make some cash.

For mining there are 2 different places mines will pop up within a given area.
Once you learn where each of these mines are you can farm them very quickly.

Don't expect to farm the whole zone, just pick a small area that you can keep going around.
If you know the area your farming your first mine should pop by the time you are done with the last one.
Then you just repeat until you have enough stacks to mail.

I always bind at the nearest Inn where I am farming, when I have 3 or 4 stacks I use my hearthstone, smelt the ore into bars and mail the bars to an alt in the auction house.

Don't try to sell just the ore because nobody will buy it, you should smelt it first.

Thorium bars sell around 18g a stack on my server and it takes me 15 minutes to get 1 stack
and that's not including any mithril I pick up as well on my runs. By the time I add it all up it equals to about 80 - 100 gold an hour.

Gathering is the easiest LEGAL way to make gold in World of Warcraft.
Don't waste your money on Gold guides that are outdated or illegal, you could get yourself banned.

If there is a LOT of thorium for sale I will stick it in the bank and go farm mithril.
Don't drive auction house prices down by under cutting too low, it's best to wait until there is a limited amount for sale.

It's all about supply and demand. At any given point in time I have had the only thorium bars for sale. That's when I list them at 25g a stack and turn a nice profit.

Forget the end product and focus on selling the materials instead. You will soon see how fast the gold starts adding up in your World of Warcraft account!
