I know that there is probably more than one way of making the mix, but this one is definitely tried and proven and will give you the perfect result which is also safe for your skin and allergy free.
First you will need to obtain the Henna powder, this can be done by going to most Middle Eastern or Indian supermarkets and buying the skin henna (Make sure not to confuse with hair henna, as that does not work for your body), a good brand to buy which is the only type we buy is Jamila and you will be able to find it in most places.
The next ingredients you will need are Lemon Juice (Either fresh or bottled), White Sugar, and Tea Tree Oil or Lavender Oil (These work best, but you can use any other scented oils), make sure to purchase all of these things before starting out, and don't try to cut any corners, all of this is necessary and you shouldn't use any substitutes.
Ok, now it is time to start preparing it, you can use many different things for the mixing container, some people use Ziploc bags, but what we usually just use is a designated plastic container that we use every time as the mix permanently stains. Put three tablespoons of the powder into the container, next add about a teaspoon or so of sugar, then put in the lemon juice, the goal is to not make the paste too runny so add it a little bit at a time, the desired consistency is about as a thick as toothpaste or something of the sort, if you added too much throw a little more powder in to thicken it up again.
Mix it thoroughly and let it sit for about 16 hours (that's what we do, but you can let it sit a little longer or shorter if you want), after sitting mix it a bit again to get it back to its consistency and then add a few drops of the oil, mix again.
Now it is ready for use, be sure never to add water or any other type of liquid to the mix, as it will ruin it.
When you are ready place the paste into an icing cone or something similar and get to work designing great new tattoos.
It should last for a few weeks.
Good luck, and have fun.
