How to Have Great Fun and Rides at Universal Studios Orlando

Universal Studios Orlando - Great Rides and Attractions

Marsha J
Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida is a great place to visit and has a lot of great attractions and rides to satisfy the need for fun. However, there are a few things that should be done to get maximum enjoyment and fun when you do finally get to visit Orlando's Universal Studios.

Money

Bring just enough money for everyone; $20-$30 per person is a good amount to have so that you don't over spend. Orlando's Universal Studios can get expensive and if you bring a few hundred dollars with you, you can easily find yourself buying a whole lot of items that you really don't need.

A lot of the rides, especially those at Orlando's Universal Studios that are for kids, try to make you spend money. Rides like Men in Black and Spiderman makes you walk through the souvenir shop when you get off the ride. They are hoping for last minutes splurging and if you have children they are hoping that your kids will bug you into buying something.

Food

There are a lot different places in Orlanod's Universal Studios to buy food and snacks but you can get the turkey drumsticks, because they cost roughly $5.00 and they are huge. If there are four people you can simply get 2 and share. I have bought them on numerous occasions but I have never been able to finish one by myself. Even my boyfriend who is a big eater had to put his up to finish later. There are also places to buy burgers, pizza, sodas, chocolate and a lot more. It all depends on what you want to eat.

Long Lines

If you have the money it is best that you get the express passes. They allow you to skip ahead instead of waiting in long lines all day long. Without them you will not get to see everything that you want to in Orlando's Universal Studios, it just can't be done. As you walk there are electronic billboards that will tell you how long of a wait you will have. A typical day most lines can take 30 minutes or more before you actually get on the ride. On special days like Fourth of July weekend when a lot of people come to Orlando, you can easily find the wait time 1 hour or more because of all the extra visitors. The Orlando Universal Studios express passes cost $40 for one park and $50 for two parks per person but they are definitely worth it.

Get to Universal Studios EarlyI can't stress it enough, if you do not wake up early and get to Orlando's Universal Studios early, then chances are you will feel rushed as you race around trying to get to all the rides and different Universal Studio shows. If you are staying in an Orlando hotel, try to get one that is close by or make sure you know the fastest route to take. The best things to do are before or after you get to Orlando, start to plan your vacation. There are a lot of attractions, shows and rides to see and experience and you need to get to Universal Studios early if you want to see it all or at least see as much as possible. Try to find out ahead of time when Universal Studios closes because they sometimes close at 6pm and other times at 7pm. That extra hour could be just what you need to catch another four or five Universal attractions.
