1) Substitute wheat bread for white to add more weight-controlling fiber -
If you are using white bread for your grilled sandwich, try making it with wheat bread. Though any kind of wheat bread is healthier, try to use whole wheat bread as it is the best.
2) Try low fat cheese -
The best way to reduce fattening parts of a grilled cheese sandwich is to switch to low-fat cheese. It will save a lot of calories and fat, leading to a much healthier sandwich.
3) Add tomato to the sandwich -
Adding a two or three slices of tomato to the sandwich for some cancer-fighting Lycopene will help in making it more healthier and will add more flavor to it.
4) Avoid using butter -
Often we use butter to cook grilled sandwich. To cut down calories and fat, avoid using butter and mayonnaise. Cook your sandwich in some non-stick cooking spray or a butter alternative, such as Olive oil.
