How To Grow Hair On an Apple

Have you ever wondered what it would be like if one day your world was completely different? Consider hair on an apple. Sadly, this article is not really how to grow hair on an apple. I would have to be a crazy, mad-scientist to pull off such a feat. The purpose of my ramblings are simply to get you thinking.

What would you think if it was normal to walk into your kitchen and in your fruit bowl see a hairy apple? Remember that I said it was normal. You are really going to eat this hairy apple. Or are you? Would you really dig into the apple or would you peel the skin off? Perhaps you might core it and slice it like a regular apple. If hairy apples were the norm you may even be disgusted at the thought of a 'naked' apple such as the ones we naturally enjoy today. I would wonder if the hair on the apple would be long or short or thin or thick. Perhaps the condition of the hair on the apple would be a testament to the fruitfulness of the product. Say you have thin-haired apples, perhaps they are the not-so-ripe ones, whereas the ones with a thicker scalp would be the ones you would want to enjoy now and not later. Would you have to wash the hair on the apple before eating it? Maybe grocery stores could make more money off their apples if they provided this service before bagging them up. Just think, you could even have the option of having your apples custom shaved before you picked them up! That might raise some eyebrows however so you better just stick to the hairy apple.

It is silly I know, but it is something to think about. Every once in awhile we have to travel to the wilder side of our imagination and wonder "what if?". So though this article was not completely informative on the topic of how to grow your own hairy apple I hope it served as a good medium of thinking about expanding your mind a bit!

This is one of those subjects that would be best discussed while slightly intoxicated or under the influence of some type of intoxicant. HEHEHE- Thanks for the laugh and the thought!

I love a good imagination and my favorite teachers in school were the ones who tried to get children to use imagination. I enjoyed this article for the creativity

Wild article. It reminds me of Captain Beefheart music. Great vision, imagination and conciseness. I am also a serious painter (art) and feel that your article relates to an artist's way of thinking.
    Bravo.
