1) Learn To Blog - One of the basic and most important requirement for a paid blogger is how to blog. Create a personal blog on the topic that interest you and the one you can get hold of. Begin to blog about it. Take your time to understand all the blogging tools that are available to you. This also requires how to promote your blog through social bookmarking, social networking sites like My Space, Facebook etc, through forums and more. Also, learn how to market you blog as all these qualities are expected from the professional bloggers.
2) Define You Area of Expertise - People who would hire you as a blogger have high expectations. Professional bloggers are expected to create fresh and meaningful content for their readers. They should be able to participate in the blog's community and provide all the information that readers want. Establish yourself as very knowledgeable in the subject you choose for paid blogger.
3) Show Your Online Presence - Once you are done with all the aforesaid steps, show your online presence. You should be able to develop your credibility by networking online. You can do this by participating in forums, through social networking sites. Also, by writing great content on websites like hubpages, Associated Content or any other site of your choice.
As you build online presence, you should remember that the hiring team can see your content anytime, so keep it appropriate.
4) Search Blogging Jobs Online - Once you are all set for blogging job, start searching the jobs on the website that post such jobs. Apply to the jobs in your area of expertise. Since there is a lot of competition, you need to be quick in applying the job and beat the crowd. Search for blogging jobs in forums that post blogging jobs .
5) Prove yourself - Since the competition is tough, you should prove to the hiring people that you can bring value to the blog through your great content and promotion skills. Prove that you help in leading the blog to increased page views and subscribers, and this way it will lead to more ad revenue for the blog owner. Add your blogging experience in your application along with the required links to your contents and blog.
6) Make Your Writing Skills Shine - Most of the hiring people would like to see a sample blog of the blogging applicants to get a better understanding of the type of content the applicant would write if gets the job. This is where you can prove yourself. Write a sample blog that is relevant and timely and makes you stand out from the crowd. Be sure that it does not contain any spelling or grammatical mistakes.
