How to Make Your Hair Look Younger and More Beautiful

Hair : the Tipping Point when it Comes to Looking Beautifully Younger

Several body parts will keep you looking young and beautiful all the days of your life. They include nails, eyebrows, your waistline and your hair. Your hair can really make a big difference in how young you look. Hair that lacks luster and shine can make you look years older. Hair that's luminous and bouncy makes you look years younger. Consider that many women have long flowing hair in their teens and twenties, yet they feel compelled to get a short, spiky cut when they reach their forties. While this is a growing trend, it's not necessarily the right thing to do. To keep your hair looking younger and yourself looking beautiful, pay attention to cut, sun exposure, diet, and other factors.

Avoid Product Overload
Far too many people get carried away with gels and spritzes. Instead of going for the "stiff" look, picture your hair flowing and moving in the wind. The stiffer you make your hair, the older you'll look, so it's in your best interest to avoid product overload. Opt for lighter product formulas such as "light hold." Look for cream-based products and very light-weight mousses. Doing so is the best way to avoid dated looks such as "helmet hair."

Find the Right Cut
Getting a hair cut does not necessarily mean a head full of shorter hair. Instead the right cut means hair that flatters the best features on your face. You most certainly do not have to wear your hair a particular length when you reach a certain age. A style that plays up your face's best features will make you look prettier and younger. Take a close look at your face to find out what your best characteristics are. Maybe you have big eyes. Perhaps you have high cheekbones, dimples, or full lips. Sweeping bangs or bouncy, layered bobs draw attention to the parameters of the face. Other styles may draw attention to a slender jaw bone or long eyelashes. Find a hair stylist who's not afraid to experiment with different cuts that suit your face. Look at hair magazines to get more ideas.

Pay Close Attention to Your Diet
What you take into your body has a good chance of showing up in your hair. Improve your hair's health by eating good-for-you foods such as spinach, broccoli, salmon and walnuts. Eat lean meats so your hair gets protein and eat low fat dairy foods that promote hair growth such as yogurt and cottage cheese. Be sure to get hair healthy vitamins in your diet such as biotin which is found in eggs.

The right hair care will keep you looking young and beautiful always. Just put in the effort, and you'll have a head full of fabulous hair.
