How to Make Haiti Health Kits

Haiti Health Kits Are Being Collected by Several Organizations to Help Haiti's Earthquake Victims

Pat Anthony
A Haiti Health Kit may seem like a small item to give. However, for those who are on the receiving side, these kits are a big deal.

Called a Haiti Health Kit perhaps because they contain some of the basic needs, these kits may be donated to groups in your area. If you are not sure where to donate please call a local church, your local Salvation Army, Red Cross, or use a link below for more details.

Because of government restrictions items that are not listed can't be included. If other items are in the kits, volunteers must then focus on removing what is not allowed. Therefore everyone is asked to please stick to the list so that shipments do not take longer than needed.

Items that can be included are as follows: All Haiti Health Kits are to be packed in clean one gallon plastic bags that can be sealed.

1 hand towel 15" x 25". Can be up to 17" x 27" but not a kitchen towel.
1 washcloth
1 comb that is not a pocket size. Large sturdy combs are requested.
1 small fingernail clipper or a nail file. Please do not include toenail clippers. No emery boards.
1 3 ounce or large bar of bath soap
1 adult size tooth brush in original wrapper
6 adhesive plastic strip sterile bandages

If you are not able to package several Haiti Health Kits but have items to donate many organizations are more than willing to accept what you have.
