Ghostly Step 1-
Open the program you are using on your computer to create the Halloween card or cards. Select the template you wish to use for your card design. This can be a card with a right fold, left fold, top fold or four way fold.
Ghostly Step 2-
Use the insert picture tool (MS Publisher) to create a picture on the front of the card. This will give you a dash edged box. Right click on this box and choose to the clip art option.
Ghostly Step 3-
Search for Halloween symbols such as bats, cats, witches, ghouls, goblins, ghosts, vampires, pumpkin's, jack-o-lanterns or any other item associated with Halloween. Choose the one you like the most by double-clicking on it. It will appear in the dash edged box. Resize it to your liking on the front of your Halloween card.
Ghostly Step 4-
Use the text tool to add a Halloween greeting to the front of your card. Some Halloween greetings that you may wish to choose from are; Happy Halloween! Halloween Greetings! Greetings on Halloween! Boo!, or Flying By To Say Hi!
Ghostly Step 5-
Repeat the steps above for the inside of the card if you wish to have a picture inside also. Consider using different elements for the outside and inside of the Halloween card that are connected. Ideas for this include a witch on the front of the card with a broom and caldron on the inside, a vampire on the front with bats on the inside, or a castle on the front with ghosts floating on the inside of the card.
Ghostly Step 6-
Add your favorite quote from a scary Halloween movie, fun Halloween movie or from your favorite Halloween book.
Here are few quotes that are perfect for the inside of a Halloween card:
"Evildoers are easier, and they taste better."- Lestat from Interview with the Vampire.
"Goodnight sweet prince and may flights of devils sing you to your rest."- Claudia from Interview with the Vampire.
"You may scream all you want, but no one will hear you."- Barnabas from Dark Shadows.
"Blood is thicker than water, and much tastier."- Anonymous
Ghostly Step 7-
Print and fold your Halloween cards. Pass them out to family, friends and school mates.
