Are you a big fan of the HBO hit television series "True Blood"? If so, you may be thinking about dressing up in a Halloween costume of your favorite "True Blood" character. If so, here are some tips on how to make a "True Blood" Halloween costume.

"True Blood" is a television series that airs on the cable channel HBO. The show stars Anna Paquin as Sookie Stackhouse, Stephen Moyer as Bill Compton, Alexander Skarsgard as Eric Northman, Sam Trammell as Sam Merlotte, Rutina Weslery as Tara Thornton, and Jim Parrack as Hoyt Fortenberry.

Dressing up like a character on "True Blood" can be relatively cheap but it does require some effort and creativity on your part. You must first decide which character, male or female, you want to emulate. That is the hardest part.

Once you have decided on your "True Blood" character, you need to start working on your home-made "True Blood" Halloween costume.

To do this, you need to get an idea of what your character looks like on the "True Blood" series. If you have forgotten, the www.imdb.com site is a great resource because it has many photos of the characters from the "True Blood" HBO hit show.

"True Blood" Characters

Sookie Stackhouse is the lead character in the show. If you want to dress up like her, go to the Sookie Stackhouse character page on IMDd.com. Find the Sookie photos and click on the button to see all of the photos. Now raid your closet or your friend's closet for any clothes that match the clothes you see Sookie wearing in the photos.

Maybe you have a dark side and prefer the Bill Compton character from "True Blood." If so, check out the IMBd.compage for the Bill Compton character and see if you have any clothes that look like the clothes his character wears on the show. You may also need some pale makeup and a mean scowl.

Don't forget about Eric Northman, another wild and intense character from "True Blood." Check out this IMDb.com Web page for photos of the Eric Northman character. Note that he wears lots of black so that should be the easy part of the Northman Halloween costume.

    I love this series. I got hooked on her books several years back. I don't even mind that the series is not following the books exactly. Anna Paquin was a perfect choice to play Sookie. I was not sure about the actor chose for Bill but now agree he is doing a great job. And Eric, wow!! Hey, you left out someone. A rather flashier character. Now his would be a fun Halloween costume to create. :)
