How to Make Hamburgers or Cheeseburgers Inside with No Grill
Delicious Juicy Hamburgers and Cheeseburgers Made Inside on a Skillet!
Even if you have a grill, and you just want to cook inside because it is raining or too cold, this recipe is great! In many ways it is better than your traditional grilled hamburger, but unfortunately, it is unhealthier! To cook a hamburger inside follow the following recipe for cooking hamburgers inside!
Step 1 The day before let your hamburger thaw out in the fridge (if necessary).
I suggest letting it thaw out in the fridge because it will allow the patties to form better. If it is too late for that, thaw it out in warm water in the sink. If you must use the microwave to defrost, be sure to use the defrost button and turn it over every minute. Once the outside is thawed, then remove it and put the middle back in. Be sure all the meat is unfrozen before cooking or the hamburgers may cook unevenly.
Step 2 Get out a deep, large skillet
Step 3 Slice and fry up the onions with butter
If you do not like onions, use bacon in its place.
Step 4 While onions are frying, start forming meat into patties.
Make the patties large and thin, when cooking they will shrink and become much thicker and juicy!
Step 5 Once the onions are clear, place the patties on the pan and cover with a lid.
Cook just below medium heat (on my stove I cook it on 4 and it goes from 1-10).
Step 6 Flip the burgers once the top is starting to brown.
DO NOT press down, I repeat, DO NOT press down. The hamburgers will cook all the way I assure you, it just takes some patience-if you press down you will not have delicious juicy hamburgers.
Step 7 Keep an eye on the burgers and flip them when they need, but do not press down.
Once they look like they are firming up, use one burger as a test. Cut it down the middle and see if it is done.
Step 8 Cook until done
When they are done, put half of a slice of cheese on top of the hamburger. If you made bacon, put the bacon on, and then the cheese. When the hamburgers are done, place on a plate and cover it until the remainder of the food is done.
