Chapati
Most people dread going to work because of various reasons, some of which include; dealing with pesky co-workers, a nasty boss, office politics, horrible commute etc.

These are a few ways that could help you to find happiness at your place of work.

The Choice Is Yours

The choice to be happy at your place of work is yours, you can choose to happy (sounds easy huh?). You may wish to work with the best boss on earth but let's face it, most bosses are a pain in the neck! So your strategy should be:

(a) Think positively about your job, think constantly about the aspects of your job that gives you the most joy.

(b) Avoid people or co-workers that get you all riled-up. Do not participate in office gossip and surround yourself with people that make you happy at work. Believe it or not, negative people have a way of getting their negativity into your head.

Always Keep Abreast of Latest Developments

Being the last to get to know about happenings in the office can be very upsetting for most workers. Most people expect their boss to feed them with every single detail, guess what? The boss also has a job to do. Take it upon yourself to find out the latest developments in your place of work and you will find out that it will make your work life a lot easier and it will in turn make you happier at your place of work.

Ask To Get Feedback On Your Work

Everyone knows what a positive feedback does for the morale. You are responsible for your own professional development; you should ask your boss to give you a sincere feedback on your work performance so that you can improve on it or if you feel you have done a good job, you will want your boss to recognize your effort, which can do wonders for your confidence.

Be Courageous

Most people are unhappy at work because they are afraid of conflict and would do anything to avoid it. Do not be afraid of speaking up if or when the need arises, conflict is good if handled properly. Most people at work are happy when they have accomplished their tasks but become disoriented if they are afraid of possible conflict with certain co-workers and or boss.

Work Buddies

Do you know that people perform very well at work, if they have good friends among their co-workers? Take time to get to know your co-workers because keeping a best friend(s) at work can help you increase your productivity and create a network of people that can provide you with support, care, sharing etc. Having friends at work can help you enjoy your work experience too.

Do Something Else

If you are still unhappy at work after trying your all your best to be, then it is time to move on to another place where you can find job satisfaction and happiness. No one should be subjected to working in an environment where they cannot find happiness, because misery kills twice as much as poison.
