Many of us have favorite things to do on Halloween. There are also many different things that you can make as well for Halloween. One of the most popular amusements for Halloween is to be scared. One of the greatest ways to be scared on Halloween is to enter something called a haunted house. Haunted houses are one of the best places to go for Halloween if you like to be scared. There are many amusement parks that have haunted houses during Halloween or you can make your own. Going to haunted houses is fun but costly so if you make your own it will save you a lot of money. Making your own haunted house is not very easy but not that hard either in this article I will show you some steps on how to do this.

The first step in creating your own haunted house is some safety information. When creating a haunted house there are some things you should do to stay safe. First off if you should decide on the age groups that you will let enter your haunted house. When you decide on the age group then you can decide on how scary you will design the haunted house. Make sure that all electrical wires are out of the way so no one can trip on them. Make sure that if you use candles that they are secure and cannot fall to cause a fire. Keep all flammable stuff away from flames as well. If it's possible do not use candles at all try to substitute fire with another light source.

Make sure that you have enough scary music for the haunted house with a variety of songs and sounds. Make sure you have enough responsible adults to watch out for the children and to supervise everything that's going on. For finding your decorations you can try out local rag shops, party shops, Halloween shops, and internet sites. Another important thing is to have enough food and drinks for every one of your guests. The last and most important thing to remember is to have a clear path in your haunted house so people can see where they're going and not get lost.

The next step in creating your own haunted house is the design process. First off when making a haunted house you should start coming up with ideas months before October. Figure out the size of the haunted house you could probably use your own house, a trailer, a rental building, or so on. Most houses though are appropriate size for a fun haunted house.

When you finally choose the appropriate building for your house then you can come up with the design theme. There are many designs to a haunted house you can make it very scary, moderately scare, or not scary at all. The design will all depend on the age group so you should consider who will be attending. You want the house to fit every ones age so it can be enjoyed by all. If its going to be a combination of adults and children then you can make it moderately scary.

Next you will decide what kind of stuff you want to use for your haunted house. There are many different props you can get for your haunted house. Some props are smoke machines, puppets, posters, fake spider webs, headstones, bats, coffins, ghosts, and so on. You can also make your own props using household items such as string and cotton for webs, sheets for ghosts, small fruits for eyes, and other similar things. Most props can be brought at any Walgreens, Halloween stores, rag shops and similar retail stores. Once you get all the props you would like to use you can start production. What you do now is put everything together to your likeness. You will use your props in different ways to create the many different effects you want to have. Some other quick tips are different color light bulbs for effects, make green juice, and make Jack-o-lanterns with lights not candles. When everything is done and created you should have a wonderful haunted house.

A haunted house is a lot of work to construct but in the end it will be worth it. A haunted house has many things you have to get for it to work such as props, items, foods, and so on. These are just some steps on how to make a haunted house that are simple. If you would like to get further assistance on how to make your own haunted house check with any local Halloween retailer. Have a safe and happy Halloween and don't eat too much candy.
