How You Can Heal Hemorrhoids at Home

Josue Rodriguez
Hemorrhoids are simply a painful experience, for some time it can be ignored but then it causes too much pain to be ignored. Surgery may be recommended to cut them away, but because of the incisions and stitches required in a highly sensitive area only 10 to 20 percent of all Americans treated for them undergo surgery.

Hemorrhoids are swollen, painful, itchy blood vessels in the lower rectum caused by increased blood pressure in rectal veins. As blood collects in the veins, the blood vessels swell, expanding in size. Pregnancy, obesity, constipation, diarrhea and long sitting spells can increase pressure. In most people however blood pressure rises because of constricted blood flow in the liver, where narrowed passageways bottleneck and raise pressure below.

There are a lot of natural treatments that can be recommended for treating hemorrhoids, you can promote soft, easy bowel movements, and this can be accomplished with plenty of fluids and fiber. Drinking lots of fluids throughout the day will help, preferable water. Increasing the amount of fiber intake is also important by eating lots of fresh fruits, whole grains and vegetables. Bowel movements are not supposed to be difficult, it can worsen the condition. If the time you spend sitting on the toilet is shortened and lessen the effort it takes to finish your bowel movement, then your hemorrhoids will heal quickly.

There is a good option to avoid surgery that is not very well known and recommended but it works great. Use beets and beet greens as a mayor part of your diet for as long as 30 days to detoxify the liver and relieve hemorrhoids. Beets are rich in folate, manganese and potassium, their fiber reduces constipation while the antioxidants help reduce inflammation in the liver and veins. Beets have a long history as a liver promoter and detoxifier the problem is that most of the time liver is not associated with hemorrhoids.

The main active nutrient of beets is betaine, which protect from fatty deposits in the liver and help lower levels of homocysteine, a toxin that damages blood vessels. There are positive results in studies conducted in rats with liver damage, the beet extract reduced or eliminated degenerative changes to the liver. To try this remedy at home, make cook beets roots or greens a large part of your diet until the hemorrhoid shrinks. Combine beets with figs, spinach, bananas and carrots. The more you eat the sooner you can sit back and relax.
