The Most Healthy Starbucks Holiday Latte: The Gingerbread Latte
Tasting remarkably like liquified gingerbread, this delicious holiday latte only has 320 calories in every grande serving with whipped cream, as well as having 20 percent of the recommended daily intake for vitamin A and 40 percent of the recommended daily intake for calcium. It also has the lowest amount of sugar, though 37 grams is hardly the epitome of healthy. Still, if you're trying to stick to a healthy diet this holiday season, gingerbread is the Starbucks holiday latte you're looking for.
The Second Most Healthy Starbucks Holiday Latte: The Peppermint Mocha
A latte with a soothing taste and Christmas feel, the peppermint mocha latte is the second most healthy Starbucks holiday latte. At 410 calories and with 23 precent of the recommended daily fat intake, this holiday latte doesn't seem to be much of an offender to the healthy until you realize it also has 57 grams of sugar. If this article were rating how healthy each Starbucks holiday latte was in terms of sugar and not calories, the peppermint mocha would sorrowfully be in last place.
The Second Least Healthy Starbucks Holiday Latte: The Caramel Brulee Latte
Sometimes when you want a fancy sounding Starbucks latte, you must pay the penalty with less than healthy nutritional information. 420 calories for a grande with whipped cream, this holiday latte isn't actually a serious offender of the healthy and health conscious, at least, in terms of calories. However, exploring the less than healthy side, what the caramel brulee holiday latte does not offend in calories, it surely distrubs with sugar content. This Starbucks holiday latte actually contains 47 grams of sugar in ever grande with whipped cream. Some good and healthy news is that the caramel brulee latte only has 23 percent of the recommended daily intake for fat, which is relatively low for a Starbucks holiday latte, and actually contains 15% of the recommended daily intake for vitamin A, as well as 25 percent of the recommended daily intake for calcium. For the second least healthy Starbucks holiday drink, this is good news.
The Least Healthy Starbucks Holiday Latte: The Eggnog Latte
You may have guessed the eggnog latte would be the least healthy holiday latte that Starbucks offers. Creamy and rich, this drink is a dream come true for equal opportunity eggnog and latte enthusiasts like me. The only imperfection to this Starbucks holiday latte is that it contains 460 calories, 48 grams of sugar and 33 percent of the recommended daily intake for fat, making it the least healthy holiday latte available at Starbucks. Somehow paradoxically, this holiday latte has the most healthy calcium content, at 50 percent of the recommended daily intake. So the next time you order one, remember that if how healthy a latte is were determined by the calcium content, the eggnog latte would by far be the most healthy Starbucks holiday latte available today.
