Get and Stay Healthy

L J Pearce
Getting healthy, fit and in control of your life is one thing, but staying fit, in control and much more takes a lot more effort, patience and dedication. Here are a few things you might like to try when getting and staying fit.

1. Eat healthy and eat right. This doesn't mean you cannot have any chocolate or any treats, it just means that you have to watch what you eat, balance your meals, and balance your diets, and remember to get your 5 portions of fruit and vegetables a day.

2. Keep track of your progress, Keep a diary, write down everything you do from waking up to going to sleep and write down what you eat and drink. Keeping note of these things will help you stay focused and motivated.

3. Get active and get some exercise, be it swimming, power walking or just walking. Try to plan at least 20 minutes of regular exercise every other day. Exercise can make you feel good, and keep you fit and healthy. Just remember to eat healthy alongside exercising or else you won't see the results.

4. Try something new. Getting, being and staying healthy are not just about what you eat and how often you exercise, it is also to do with the life you lead/your lifestyle. For example if you are stressed, stuck in a rut or even depressed why not consider changing those things or thing that is making you feel this way. Having a life change, career change or similar can have positive results. Just remember to follow your dreams and go for what you want as apposed to what everyone else wants you to do.

5. Take up a new hobby or interest, get outdoors, and take in some scenery...Whatever tickles your fancy or floats your boat. Why not do something you haven't done before? This will boost your levels of happiness and will as a result make you feel a lot healthier.

6. Do what you love. Doing what you love makes you feel good, happy, content and healthy, so why not do something that you love today and see how you feel.
