Children are prone to viruses, and more so if the child is attending school, where they seem to pick up more germs from other children. Children seem to be getting a lot of colds, bad coughs, and the flu. The child seems to always be on some kind of medication. Sure, medications get rid of colds, coughs, and the flu. When a child seems to always be on some kind of medication, do we really know what this is doing to our children after taking these medications off and on for a long period of time? I am not suggesting that you not give your child medication. We never know how taking these medications affect the child's body. What could it be doing to other parts of their body, or could it even be damaging organs? We just don't know the affects these medications can cause on ones body after being on these medications for a long period of time.
When babies are born, one of the main things women do is bundle the baby up, even while at home in the house, a baby is bundled up in blankets. Even when it seems warm in the home, a baby is sometimes over bundled in a onesie, long sleeve shirt, pants, and socks. Some mothers will even wrap the baby in a blanket. As the child gets older, they are still bundled up just to go outside and play when it isn't that cold outside, some parents dress their child up in a hat and coat. When a child is overly dressed like that, it only makes them sweat. Then when the child comes in from playing outside and you take their coat and hat off, some actually get the chills.
Over bundling your child up is not always a good thing to do. You are not allowing your child to build up his or her immune system. Some women seem to over sterilize their baby's bottles not allowing their baby to consume any germs. In return the baby's immune system is not being built up to fight off those germs. It has been said that not sterilizing your baby's bottles everyday will not hurt the baby.
Some places in China have a few daycare centers where they send the children outside to play, not wearing a coat or a hat when temperatures are not so warm. The reason for this is to build the children's immune systems up and let them fight off colds, instead of always using medication.
If you are a parent who smokes around your child, or smokes in your home but you do it in another room, this will also affect your children. If you do smoke around your child, your child is more susceptible to developing a cough. Even going into another room to smoke and shutting the door does not work. Smoke will still seep out through the cracks and even from under the door. Your child will still be inhaling the second hand smoke.
Cancer from second hand smoke is on the rise, people are dying each year from lung cancer, and they never smoked a cigarette in their life. I am sure these people through out their life have been inhaling second hand smoke from friends or family members. Your child's future all depends on the way you raise him or her. Allowing your child to be around second hand smoke could only make them develop lung cancer or other lung diseases in their early adult life. So if you are a parent who allows your child to be around second hand smoke, you might want to think twice and look at the out come it could have on your child's life.
