A home made Christmas card is a gift. Parents need not spend a lot of money to help their children give. Parents can help their children to make home made Christmas cards. The supplies are already around your home so the cost of making them is free. All you'll need to do is deliver them. People love to receive hand made things from children. Kids are so creative. They come up with wonderful ideas. Whoever receives a handmade card from your child will treasure and adore it.
The supplies needed for home made Christmas cards are likely things you already have. Paper, glue, scissors, crayons, markers, glitter, little beads, ribbon scraps, and the like are all wonderful to decorate cards with. Kids love to work with the items and will thoroughly enjoy making the cards.
Magazines and flyers often contain Christmas advertisements. Products and item pictures often have a Christmas decoration printed beside them. Pictures can be found of Christmas trees, holiday decorations, lights, wrapped gifts and so much more. When these pictures are clipped out the look great decorating a homemade Christmas card.
Sit with your child at a table. Have all of your supplies around and ready. First make a list of who will be getting a card. Teachers and grandparents especially love to receive homemade items from children. Once the list is ready start helping your child to create. You can help by folding the paper in half to resemble a card. You can also help by clipping pictures neatly from the flyers or magazines. Children may also need your assistance with writing and or spelling. Decorating has no rules or limitations. Christmas trees can be made from triangles. The beads can be snow. It doesn't matter. Work with what you have for supplies and let the imaginations of both you and your child run free.
Once your child has completed a card make sure that the receivers name is on it. If there are several to make you'll want each labeled as they all will be different and unique. Set them up or hang them so that all of the glue has a chance to dry before trying to put them into an envelope. Home made cards are best when hand delivered but they also can be mailed. Again, make sure the glue is dry or it will stick to the inside of the envelope and won't come out.
Friends and family love to receive home made gifts from children. At Christmas time kids want to give to many but lack to money to do so. Helping your child to make home made Christmas cards is a fun way to help them to give. People cherish them. You likely already have all of the supplies that you and your child will need!
