It's been a great day at the beach. Playing games outdoors, swimming in cool water, grilling steaks and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. But what happens when someone gets too much sunshine? The evil sunburn! You body turns red and hot. It hurts everywhere too much to move. Even where you part your hair is sunburned and hurts. Oh why didn't I use sun block! Too late now. You can't go outside, you can't go to work in fact you can't hardly move without pain. What are friends to do.

Here is list of the top gifts for the burned and burned out. It will help a little, hurt when you laugh and make the time more bearable. So don't move and enjoy the company when they come to see you.

1. If you are going to take the gift of a plant buy an aloe plant. It is easy to care for, very pretty and when you slice the leaf it contain a liquid that will help to cool and heal that painful sunburn.

2. Bottled water in every flavor. You will need to drink a lot of fluid especially a water product. Keep them in a cool place so they will bring your body temp down when you hold the bottle to your skin. Drink as much as you can hold for the first two days.

3. Ice cream. In all your favorite flavors. You need to get sugar into your system and what better way than with cold, good tasting ice cream. Not only will it help you to cool down, but it will just be a great comfort food.

4. For a woman give a nice, loose jersey cotton dress. For a man give loose cotton jersey shorts and tank top. It is all they are going to be able to stand against their skin wherever it is burned. If you went to a nude beach then you better plan to just lay as naked as you did the day you were burned on top of a sheet in a cool room.

5. Movies about snow. Winter! Cool movies for a cool mind. Movies like Ski School, The Grinch, In Search Of The Castaways or anything that involves snow and cold air.

6. A couple of small fans to blow cool air from each side and sunburn healing lotion so your skin won't dry out. Also an oatmeal bath liquid so they can cool the burn while sitting in a tub of tepid water.

7. Comic and humor books. This is not the time to read anything serious. You are already in serious pain so you don't need to be in a serious state of mind. Read light weight books because you don't want to hold something heavy and lean on the bed or a table.

8. Movie tickets for a dark, cool theater. Most movie theaters are air conditioned and as soon as you can move just enough you can go out to see your favorite new movie. Don't go back out in the sun to burn all over again.

9. A gift card to the local ice cream store for all the flavors you love. Inside where it is cool so you won't burn again. No more swimming for a while.

10. Last and most important. Bring friends, family and friendship and spend time together. Do not expect a sunburned person to wait on you. Take care of everything for them the first couple of days so they don't have to move. It will mean so much and will help keep depression away from the sunny personality of your favorite beach bunny or beach boy.
