How to Hide Under-Eye Shadows with Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-on Illuminator
Look Awake and Refreshed, Feel Beautiful with Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-on Illuminator
I bought this product on a rush and in a whim, upon recommendation from the Estee Lauder cosmetics specialist. I do not regret the purchase at all. There were many shades to choose from, which I greatly appreciated. These shades were: Light, Light-Medium, Medium, Medium-Deep, and Soft Pink. The shade that I used was Light-Medium. I recommend that you have the help of an Estee Lauder cosmetic specialist when trying to find your ideal shade. A shade that is not consistent with your skin tone can result in a very ashy or awkward appearance.
The consistency of the Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator is very, very light. It's not heavy at all. The brush does not disfigure upon using it multiple times, and the brush is very light as well and non abrasive to the skin. It's very soft upon contact, and you only need to twist once, maybe twice, to get enough product out to apply to both eyes. If you twist too much, too much product is going to ooze out, and that would be way too much waste for such an expensive product. (The Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator cost 24.50 for 0.07 fluid ounces. It may not seem like much product, but a little goes a long way, especially with such a quality consistency and coverage.)
The Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator is fragrance-free, Dermatologist and Ophthalmologist tested. One of my favorite traits of this concealer is that it has very tiny sparkles if you will that seem to light up your face. Maybe that's why it's called an illuminator. The advance illumination is also called Light Reflective Photo Optic technology, and it's supposed to 'diffuse light to minimize the look of fine lines, wrinkles and imperfections.'*
Applying the Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator is simple. First you remove the cap, and then you twist once or twice for just enough product to appear on the brush. The Estee Lauder website recommends that you 'start at the inner corner, near the bridge of the nose, and blend outward, away from the lash line.* After applying the product, I gently pat the liquid underneath my eyes to blend. You can use the brush to blend as well, but this is just personal preference. The website also recommends that you use the Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator after applying your foundation, but this involves a bit of experimentation on your part. I only use a powder foundation on my face, and I found that this concealer works best if I apply it beneath the powder layer.
I have actually used the Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator to hide blemishes as well. I had a rather annoying acne spot on the bridge of my nose between my eyes, and this product hid it really well. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who suffers from under-eye shadows on a daily basis. My husband noted that after using this product, I seemed more awake and had a fresh look as opposed to my usual tired appearance. It's important to remember that you get what you pay for. And this certainly is the case with the Estee Lauder's Ideal Light Brush-On Illuminator.
