How to Use Home Remedies to Cure Acne

Sean
There are a number of treatments available for acne these days. Looking at all the treatments on the market, it is virtually impossible to make a firm decision as to which product to buy. Unfortunately the treatments that work well are very expensive. Some of these products also come with a wide range of side effects such as over drying of skin and others that you definitely do not wish to be a victim of.

Is there a way to be completely acne free and still be light on your pocket? The answer is simple. Turn to home remedies. Alternative home treatments are very safe and inexpensive. Besides, they provide a lot more benefits than just curing acne. They offer a complete home treatment to transform your skin from the inside out.

This might come as a surprise for many people, but the best natural remedy for acne is oil. Sandalwood, lavender and primrose oils are some of the natural oils that are very effective in treating acne. Just apply them on the pimple and watch them disappear.

Another inexpensive treatment for acne involves ice. It helps in reducing the irritation from acne. Applying ice to pimples at regular intervals helps reduce the size of the pimples, which yields in their diminished noticeability.

Another cure for acne is the mixture of ground nutmeg with cold milk. It is proven again and again that this works wonders on the skin and considerably reduces breakouts.

Another cure that is almost laughable but extremely effective is the application of toothpaste on the affected area. Just apply it to the pimple and leave it on overnight. In the morning, you might wake up and discover the pimple has disappeared!

The application of milk of magnesia with a q-tip on the affected area is also an extremely effective way to get rid of pimples. Apply it, let it dry for an hour or so, and wash it off with cold water. Repeat this procedure for about two to three times a day, and watch the pimple disappear.

NEVER pop or squeeze the pimples. This results in red spots and scarring of the skin. Furthermore, popping and squeezing spreads the bacteria, which just makes the breakout more noticeable. Even though it is extremely tempting to pop the pimple, resist the urge. You will thank yourself later.

The above home remedies are very effective in diminishing the appearance of pimples and they are the least expensive. Some of the above remedies might take longer to work, but they eventually do. Just follow the instructions and keep at it. You will be pimple free in no time.
