Yogurt-Honey Face Mask
This is an incredibly simple face mask which has a cooling, smoothing effect to even your skin tone.
What you will need:
1 tbsp. natural yogurt (plain, not low-fat or non-fat)
1 tsp. honey (heated in the microwave until runny)
Combine yogurt and honey completely. Apply to face with fingers or with a wide foundation brush, avoiding contact with the delicate around-the-eye area. Allow to sit for 15 minutes and remove with a moist cloth. Then rinse face with water and pat dry with a towel. Follow with toner and moisturizer. Variations: For oily skin, add 1 tsp. lime juice. For extra-dry skin, add 1 tsp. additional honey
Oatmeal Exfoliating Face Mask
This is an easy oatmeal exfoliating treatment that removes dead skin and creates a smooth and soft skin texture.
What you will need:
2 tbsp. whole uncooked oats
2 tbsp. natural yogurt (plan, not low-fat or non-fat)
Use a food processor or chopper to crush oats. Then combine the crushed oats and the yogurt mixture, forming a paste. (If you do not have a food processor, you can simply break apart the oats as you mix with the yogurt, the texture will just not be as fine and the exfoliation may be too harsh.) When the paste achieves a creamy consistency (add more yogurt if too thick), apply to face with fingers. Apply in small circular motions, avoiding the eye area. Allow to sit for ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse off mask and follow with toner and moisturizer. Variation: For extra-dry skin, add 1 tsp. honey
Creamy Grapefruit Facial
This treatment is great for all skin types to clear acne, brighten skin tone, and soften skin texture.
What you will need:
1 egg white
1 tsp. sour cream (not low-fat or non-fat)
1 tsp. grapefruit juice
Beat egg white until fluffy. Then, add sour cream and mix. Add grapefruit juice and mix well until all ingredients are combined. Apply to face with fingers or a wide foundation brush, avoiding the eye area. Allow to sit for fifteen minutes. Rinse face and follow with toner and moisturizer.
These great homemade facial masks are soothing and delightful. But most importantly, they are made of all-natural ingredients that will never burn or harm your skin the way chemical acne and facial treatments can. Try your own variations of these simple recipes to come up with your perfect regiment that will give you the flawless skin you've always dreamed of!

Post a CommentI have on a plain and simple baking soda water mask right now. I found that if you put in more baking soda then water and put on a thin smooth coat it works much better
