How to Make Homemade BBQ Sauce: BBQ Sauce Recipe

Shelley
With a unique, sweet, and tangy taste, this barbecue sauce is a game winner. This BBQ sauce recipe is perfect with chicken, beef ribs, pork ribs, brisket, steaks, chops and BBQ sandwiches.

BBQ Sauce Ingredients

1/2 Cup of Ketchup
1/2 Cup of Brown Sugar
1/2 Cup of Worcestershire Sauce
1/4 Cup of Lime Juice
1 Tablespoon of Montreal Seasoning

Instructions

Place all of the ingredients into a medium size-mixing bowl. Mix all of the ingredients together with a wire whisk for several minutes. Brush BBQ sauce on to chicken, ribs, steaks, or chops while barbecuing or baking.

BBQ Tips

-For really tender ribs, boil ribs in a large covered pot for about 1 to ½ hours. If your pot is not large enough, you will have a boil over. Make sure you continue to check the ribs and add water as needed. Once the ribs have finished cooking, pour the contents of the pot into a strainer so the ribs can drain. Coat the ribs with BBQ sauce and place on the grill. You can also boil the ribs the night before and place them in the refrigerator until you are ready to cook them. Make sure you remove the ribs from the boiling water before they become too soft to place on a grill. If you cook them too long, they will fall right off the bones and could fall through the grill.

-If your brown sugar is too hard to mix, it will soften once it is heated. Preheat your oven to 300 degrees and place in the oven on a cookie sheet for several minutes. You should break the brown sugar up while it is on the cookie sheet.
