How to Make a Homemade Chocolate Gift Basket for Your Valentine

A DIY Project to Help You Make Your Own Valentines Day Homemade Chocolate Gift Basket

CB
Valentine's day is around the corner and a homemade chocolate gift basket is ideal for anyone. For once, move away from the regular long- stemmed red roses and make a homemade chocolate gift basket that your Valentine will cherish. Once you follow these steps, you can make a chocolate gift basket at home and can extend the idea to other gift baskets too.

Here is the step-by-step guide to help you make that chocolate gift basket at home.To make your special Valentine's day chocolate gift basket, you need to visit a dollar store and a super-market. That is it!

1. First, get hold of a pretty looking basket at any dollar store. They are fairly cheap (from $5 to $10). You can even go to a flea market and pick up a basket. If it looks old or worn out, just give it a coat of paint. But see to it that the basket is strong, even if it is old.

2. Then you need to pick up products to fill the homemade chocolate gift basket. Anything that goes with the Chocolate theme can be included in your Valentine's day chocolate gift basket. Include a few expensive chocolates to make the Valentine's day gift look fancy. But apart from that, you can fill up your chocolate gift basket with items that are available in any super-market. Buy chocolates in wholesale and then, wrap individual pieces in cellophane. You can also include chocolate-chip cookies, chocolate scented candles and anything else, that reminds you of chocolate.

3. Sort and arrange the gifts in the basket. Place larger items close to the wall of the basket and at the center. Place the smaller gift items in the empty space you can find.

4. Select a nice cellophane paper with small gold or silver print. These are very handy and can be used for any occasion, be it Valentine's day or any holiday.

5. Cut the cellophane paper and spread it on a table. Place the gift basket at the center of the cellophane and then, grab hold of the edges of the paper. Pull the ends towards the top.

6. Tie the ends of the cellophane paper with a satin ribbon or bow.

7. All that remains now is a gift tag.

This is a perfect Valentine's Day homemade chocolate gift basket. It will be all the more special, since you have made it yourself.
